A 12-hour Weekend Intensive with Jessica Bugra and Alexandria Waycott

Saturday January 17th & Sunday January 18th, 2026

  • This weekend training is designed for yoga teachers, curious students, and allied health professionals who are seeking an introduction to the basic principles of ayurveda and how its practical applications can be used to find a more balanced life - specifically through the lens of hatha yoga.

In this training, she will provide you with an introduction to the basic principles of ayurveda, guide you through an activity to help you understand your unique dosha, and share insights on what the wisdom of ayurveda tells us about circadian and seasonal rhythms.

Alexandria Waycott is an experienced registered yoga teacher (E-RYT 500), with over 14 years of teaching experience. She runs 200-hour yoga teacher training programs and advanced continuing education courses. She will take you through 2-hour morning practices where you’ll have the opportunity to embody key Ayurvedic teachings. Additionally, she will discuss how to integrate foundational principles of Ayurveda into your classes, and how to build progressive series and workshops while honoring your scope-of-practice.

  • Alexandria Waycott

    REGISTERED YOGA TEACHER, YACEP

“The wisdom of Ayurveda can be very beneficial to us as yoga teachers. First and foremost, we can use Ayurveda to better understand ourselves in order to live a balanced, nourishing life so that we can continue to be of service to others. When working with our students, Ayurveda provides us with a lens that may inform how we adapt practices throughout the year according to seasonal rhythms, as well as how we might adapt practices according to individual needs when working with private clients. I’m thrilled to collaborate with Jessica Bugra on this training and combine our complimentary skill sets.”

Alexandria is a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500-hour level, and Lead Trainer of her yoga school, Satya Yoga Training Academy, where she certifies aspiring yoga teachers at the 200-hour level. She is recognized by Yoga Alliance as a Continuing Education Provider, and is able to provide yoga teachers with 12 CE credits upon completion of this course.

Alexandria has been teaching yoga for the past 14 years. Her approach to teaching is holistic and informed by a variety of lineages. Rather than subscribing to a single method, she values a non-dogmatic perspective where one recognizes there are many valid ways to experience yoga. As her career has evolved, Alexandria has become increasingly dedicated to supporting yoga teachers. She specializes in continuing education programs that focus on areas such as Ayurveda for yoga teachers, skillful class sequencing, yoga history and philosophy, and the art of effective verbal cueing.

She is also the host of Yoga Insider Podcast, an educational resource for yoga teachers around the world.
